- Description: Vogue green leather exterior, that hinges on one side and clasps closed. Inside the tan brown leather interior is worn and has three pockets. The edge of one is frayed. There are pen marks across the interior and it appears a name and/or address has been crossed out. Based on some brief research into the hallmarks on the silver we think that it is made by Laurence Keary of Dublin (L.K.) It is not clear whether it was made in Dublin (which would date it at 1853 due to the h symbol), as it appears to have been imported to Birmingham (triangle in an oval symbol, which suggests foreign import). This would instead date it at 1907 due to the h symbol. (information from Bradbury's book of hallmarks)
