If you choose this category, you’ll be handed a mystery bag from Shop on Carroll filled with random clothing items. From there, it’s completely up to you.

No rules, no structure – just pure creativity. This is your chance to prove that beauty can come from anything, even pieces destined for waste. Let your imagination run wild and show us what you can do when the boundaries are taken away.

PLEASE NOTE: This competition is a ready-to-wear fashion competition, not a wearable art competition.

Materials & Sourcing

• For this category, we will provide you with a lucky dip bag of clothing and textiles from Shop on Carroll.

• Each contestant will receive a bag with roughly the same quantity of items to keep things fair.

• You won’t know what you’ve got until you open your bag, thats  part of the challenge!

• You are welcome to deconstruct, combine, or completely reinvent the contents of your bag to create your final look.

Key Dates & Info

• Registration opens: Monday 29 September 2025

• Registration closes: Saturday 31 January 2026

• Creative Check-in 1: Digital, email us progress + pics (week commencing 2 February 2026)

• Creative Check-in 2: In-person (week commencing 16 February 2026)

• Garments due in store: 2–6 March 2026 (judging follows shortly after)

• Designer write-up: Submit alongside garment delivery (see PDF for details)

• Fashion Show: Thursday 26 March 2026
